Pudi was born in Chicago, Illinois to Danny Pudi and Bridget Showalter Pudi. His father is of Indian and Polish descent and His mother is of English, German, Irish, Italian, Northern Irish (Scotch-Irish), Scottish, Swedish, Swiss and Welsh descent. He has a twin sister Fiona Pudi.
