Prinze was born in Los Angeles, California to actors Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Her father is Catholic of Austrian, English, German, Irish, Puerto Rican, Scottish and Swiss descent and Her mother is Jewish (of Hungarian Jewish and Russian Jewish descent).
