Alvin and the Chipmunks: A New Riff is a 2020 American computer animated family comedy film directed by Eric Brevig. As the fifth installment in the Alvin and the Chipmunks film series, it is a reboot of the series. The film stars Joel McHale, Billy West, Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Amy Poehler, Anna Faris, Christina Applegate, and Trey Parker. It was distributed by 20th Century Fox and produced by Blue Sky Studios, 20th Century Fox Animation and Bagdasarian Company. The film was released on December 11, 2020.
